IndiGo Saudi Arabia Flights Suspended Amid Drone and Missile Attacks by Yemen’s Iran-Backed Houthis

NEW DELHI, October 23, 2026, (VoM News): In a major development, the Indian airline IndiGo has extended the cancellation of flights to several Saudi Arabian cities, citing the continuing ongoing security concerns.

The continuing attacks targeting the critical infrastructure in the region, the Indian Embassy in Riyadh stated on Friday

As per the embassy, IndiGo flights to and from Riyadh will remain cancelled through October 31, while services to and from Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah will remain suspended through October 27.

The extension comes amid continuing drone and missile attacks in Saudi Arabia linked to the conflict with Yemen’s Iran-aligned Houthis.

Earlier, the attack on King Fahd International Airport in Dammam on Wednesday killed an Indian national and injured two others.

Whereas, another Indian was injured in a separate attack at Saudi Aramco’s Shaybah oilfield the same day.

Other Indian airlines have also suspended Saudi services.

Meanwhile, the Air India and Air India Express have cancelled flights on all Saudi routes through October 24, while Akasa Air has suspended its services through October 27.

The disruptions of flights have also affected Indian Umrah pilgrims.

The Ministry of External Affairs said Indian missions in Riyadh and Jeddah were coordinating with airlines and tour operators to facilitate their return.

The authorities have informed the Indian nationals to consider travel through Bahrain, Kuwait or Qatar, subject to visa requirements.
