Tragic Incident at Rajasthan Polling Booth: Polling Agent Dies of Suspected Heart Attack
In a sad turn of events during the Rajasthan assembly elections, a polling agent passed away due to a suspected cardiac arrest in the Pali district.
Shanti Lal, serving as a polling agent at booth number 47 in the Sumerpur assembly constituency, collapsed unexpectedly at the polling center. The incident occurred as Rajasthan commenced its assembly elections on Saturday.
Immediate Medical Response and Death Declaration
After his collapse, Lal was immediately taken to a nearby hospital and subsequently to the district hospital. Unfortunately, the medical staff declared him dead on arrival, with the suspected cause being a heart attack.
The incident occurred amidst the ongoing polling in 199 out of 200 assembly constituencies in Rajasthan. The election in Karanpur, Sriganganagar, has been postponed due to the passing of a Congress candidate.
