Additionally, they urged the deployment of CCTV cameras in the most sensitive booths and called for robust action against impersonation during voting. Highlighting the demographic composition of Tamil Nadu’s electorate, Kumar shared that the state is home to 6.19 crore voters, including 3.15 crore women and 3.04 crore men. In the fight against the distribution of money and liquor to voters, Kumar introduced the cVIGIL (Citizens Be Vigilant) mobile app. This innovative tool allows users to capture incidents like money distribution through photos. Kumar assured that the EC would take action within 100 minutes of receiving and verifying a complaint. The app utilizes latitude and longitude data to dispatch Surveillance Teams promptly, ensuring swift and effective responses to reported electoral malpractices.
