
Police Brutality Against Journalist Sparks Outrage”Doda Media Association Demands Action

Doda /July 12/The District Media Association in Doda has vehemently condemned the alleged police misconduct against journalist Sulinder Parihar, terming it a gross abuse of authority. According to Parihar, he was assaulted by the Station House Officer (SHO) of Kishtwar while performing his journalistic duties, with the officer allegedly uttering anti-national remarks.
Association President Fiaz Pampori has called for immediate intervention by senior police officials, demanding strict action against the errant officer. Pampori described the police action as “highly irresponsible” and a clear breach of legal norms.

The association has announced a complete boycott of all police-related events and programs in Kishtwar until the demands are met, emphasizing the need for accountability and protection of journalists’ rights .
