
US, Saudi Forces Strike Iran-Backed Militias in Iraq as Regional Tensions Escalate
Washington/Baghdad, July 29, 2026 [VoM News]: Creating the fresh regional tensions, the United States and Saudi Arabian forces have carried out joint airstrikes against Iran-backed militant positions in Iraq on Wednesday, Assosiated Press reported.
The fresh escalation starter after a brief pause in hostilities linked to the Iran conflict, creating the new state of fear across the region.
As per details available to VoM News, the United States military carried out coordinated strikes targeted logistics hubs and weapons storage facilities used by armed groups backed by Iran in eastern Iraq.
US-Saudi Nuclear Agreement Revealed
Meanwhile, the saudi Arabia has stated that the operation was launched in response to recent attacks on its oil infrastructure allegedly carried out by militias group backed by Tehran.
Recently, the United States President Donald Trump met Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House for their first face-to-face talks since the Middle East conflict intensified earlier this year.
Both the leaders lead discussion on regional security, nuclear programme of Iran, and broader developments in West Asia.
Iran has maintained that it maintains full control over the vital waterway, the key global energy route.
The global oil prices rose by more than four percent
following the renewed violence, and supplies passing through the strategically important Strait of Hormuz remains a major concern due to renewed tensions.
