NC Resumes Seat-Sharing Talks with Congress in JK
The National Conference (NC) is set to engage in a second round of discussions with the Congress regarding seat-sharing in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh Union territories for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls. The announcement was made by the party’s vice president, Omar Abdullah, who highlighted the need for further deliberations after the initial round of talks last week failed to yield an understanding.

Omar Abdullah disclosed that the Congress presented certain proposals during the previous discussions in New Delhi. However, one of these proposals did not find acceptance from the NC’s senior leadership, necessitating internal discussions within the party. Expressing confidence, he mentioned that the upcoming discussions are expected to conclude the seat-sharing arrangement.
