The National Health Mission in Jammu and Kashmir has recently unveiled the rankings of Public Health facilities based on the Hospital Management Information System, known as JK e Sahaj, for the month of January 2024.
NHM Ranks Public Health:Associated Hospitals of Government Medical Colleges: Chest Disease Hospital, Jammu, Takes the Lead
In the category of Associated Hospitals of Government Medical Colleges, Chest Disease Hospital, Jammu, has secured the top spot. Following closely are Psychiatric Disease Hospital Jammu, Government L D Hospital Srinagar, Kashmir Nursing Home Srinagar, and Govt Medical College, Jammu. Notably, the bottom five in this category include Super Speciality Hospital Jammu, GMC Handwara, Government Medical College, Baramulla, Government Dental College, Srinagar, and Government Medical College, Rajouri.

NHM Ranks Public Health:District Hospitals: DH Shopian Emerges as the Best Performer
DH Shopian has claimed the first rank in the category of District Hospitals, with DH Ganderbal, Government Hospital, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, ASYM DH Budgam, and DH JLNM Srinagar following suit. Conversely, the bottom five in this category consist of DH Ramban, DH Bandipora, DH Kulgam, DH Samba, and DH Reasi.
NHM Ranks Public Health:Community Health Centres (CHCs): CHC Charie-Sharief Budgam Secures the Top Position
In the category of Community Health Centres (CHCs), CHC Charie-Sharief Budgam has bagged the first rank. CHC Banihal, Ramban, Government Hospital Sarwal, Jammu, AH Gagwal, Samba, and CHC Pakherpora, Budgam, also made it to the top. On the flip side, the bottom five in this category encompass CHC Thanamandi, Rajouri, Rajeev Gandhi Hospital, Jammu, CHC Langate, Kupwara, CHC Zachaldara Kupwara, and CHC DH Pora Kulgam.
NHM Ranks Public Health:JK e-sahaj Initiative: Transforming Healthcare Administration in J&K
JK e-sahaj, the Electronic System for Automation of Hospital Administration in J&K, was officially launched on November 4, 2022, during Jashn-e-Sehat. The initiative, integrated with Rapid Assessment System (RAS), 104 Centralised Health Helpline for outbound calling, and RCH portal of MoHFW, Government of India, aims to enhance healthcare administration in the region. The hospital rankings are determined based on real-time data, including registration, conversion of Electronic Medical Record (EMR), registration of IPD patients, and patient feedback uploaded on the JK e Sahaj portal for the month of January 2024.
