
Man arrested with heroin in Akhnoor, Jammu
Jammu, 11-03-2025: The police team of Police Station Akhnoor, during naka checking near the old bridge area, apprehended a suspicious individual and recovered 3 grams of heroin like substance from his possession.
The accused, identified as Mukesh Sharma alias Gulabu, son of Ramesh Kumar, resident of Majoor Kanah,Tehsil Chowki Choura,District Jammu, attempted to evade the naka party by changing direction upon noticing the police presence. However, the alert police personnel overpowered him and conducted a search, leading to the recovery of the contraband.
Following the recovery, the accused was arrested on the spot, and the narcotic substance was seized.

A case under FIR No. 44/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Akhnoor. Further investigation is underway.
Police have reiterated their commitment to curbing drug-related activities in the region and urged the public to report any suspicious activities.
