Pressure Israel Over Gaza Aid Blockade and Reconstruction; British MP Adnan Hussain Urges Govt
LONDON, November 8, 2026 (VoM News): As the Israeli forces are restricting the humanitarian aid and reconstruction in Gaza, the voices are raised from across the globe.
Meanwhile, the British MP Adnan Hussain has said that he and fellow members of the UK Parliament have written to Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband, urging the government to take immediate action and exert international pressure on Israel to end restrictions on humanitarian aid and reconstruction in Gaza.
While expressing his views in a ‘X’ post, Hussain highlighted the worsening conditions faced by displaced Palestinian families, saying many were enduring freezing winter storms in tents submerged by floodwater.
He added their suffering could not be allowed to continue while the international community remained silent.
“Britain must stop issuing statements of concern and start using its influence to force change,” Hussain said.
The letter calls for urgent government action to press Israel to end what the MPs described as the obstruction of humanitarian assistance and reconstruction efforts in Gaza.
The concerns are being raised over the conditions faced by displaced Palestinians, many of whom are living in temporary shelters exposed to severe weather and flooding.
