Formulate a policy on premature release of convicts; Supreme Court directs JK Administration
The Supreme Court of India, on Friday, directed the jammu kashmir administration to formulate/frame a policy on the nature release of the convicts.
While, hearing a plea filed by Anand Kumar Singh, the bench led by Justice Arya Surya Kant, an order was issued. The bench comprising of Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, stated that, the lack of policy can’t be a tenable ground for denial.
The directions were issued to Chief Secretary Jammu Kashmir to take up the notice kg the crucial matter. It has been further said, the compliance report need to be submitted on the next date of hearing.
