Equitas Small Finance Bank Names Ashwini Biswal as Chief Compliance Officer
Equitas Small Finance Bank Limited announced the appointment of Shri Ashwini Biswal as their new Chief Compliance Officer (CCO), effective from January 28, 2024. This decision came during the Board of Directors’ meeting held on December 12, 2023. Biswal’s tenure is set for a five-year period following the completion of the term of the present CCO, Shri Srinivasan Krishnamurthy Purohit.
Srinivasan Krishnamurthy Purohit will transition to a new role within the bank after concluding his term as CCO on January 27, 2024. Biswal brings a wealth of experience to the position, having been associated with Equitas Small Finance Bank since April 2017 and currently holding the Senior Vice President grade within the organization.
With over 22 years of professional experience, including more than 18 years in the banking sector and auditing firms linked to banking activities, Ashwini Biswal has comprehensive expertise in Audit, Compliance, Operations, and Quality Assurance. His extensive background positions him well to take on the role of Chief Compliance Officer within the organization.
