Delhi High Court Recalls Order Allowing Foetus Termination at 29 Weeks
The Delhi High Court has recalled its earlier order permitting a woman, who lost her husband in October last year, to terminate her 29-week foetus.
Justice Subramonium Prasad’s decision followed a plea by the Centre, urging the court to reconsider, emphasizing the unborn child’s right to life.
The court had earlier granted permission for medical termination, citing the woman’s mental health concerns.
The central government argued that termination was not justified as the foetus showed no significant abnormalities.
