Shri Amarnath Yatra 2024: Journey to the Sacred Shrine
Jammu: The much-awaited annual pilgrimage to the holy shrine of Shri Amarnath is set to commence on June 29 this year, with preparations underway to ensure a smooth and safe yatra experience for devotees.
Preparations Underway for the Sacred Journey
Under the leadership of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, who also chairs the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board, a meeting was convened at the Raj Bhawan in Jammu to deliberate on the arrangements and preparations for the upcoming yatra.
Key Dates and Expectations
Scheduled to span 52 days, the pilgrimage will culminate on August 19, coinciding with the auspicious occasion of Rakshabandhan. Following the conclusion of the Lok Sabha Polls, attention will shift towards gearing up for the yatra, anticipated to witness robust participation.
Anticipated Pilgrim Participation and Registration Details
With approximately 4.5 lakh pilgrims embarking on the pilgrimage in 2023, expectations are high for significant turnout this year as well. The registration process for the yatra is slated to commence in the coming month at designated branches of various banks, ensuring pilgrims can secure their spots in advance.
Sources indicate that once the official announcement regarding the yatra is made, preparations will escalate swiftly to ensure all logistical aspects are meticulously addressed.The live telecast of Aarti for the yatra will commence from the month of July, providing devotees with an opportunity to participate in the spiritual proceedings from afar.
In anticipation of a spiritually enriching and safe pilgrimage, authorities are leaving no stone unturned to ensure that all arrangements are in place to facilitate a seamless and memorable experience for devotees embarking on this sacred journey to the Amarnath Cave.
