
Agniveer Soldier dies in Siachen: Fire and Fury Corps Mourns
An Agniveer soldier, Gawate Akshay Laxman, tragically lost his life while serving on duty in the challenging terrain of Siachen, as announced by the Fire and Fury Corps, headquartered in Leh. This solemn news was conveyed on a Sunday, and it was met with deep condolences from Army Chief Gen Manoj Pande and all members of the armed forces.
Siachen, a glacier situated at an astonishing altitude of approximately 20,000 feet within the Karakoram range, is renowned as the world’s highest militarized zone. Here, soldiers grapple with extreme cold, frostbite, and fierce winds as they fulfill their duties.The precise circumstances surrounding Laxman’s passing are not yet available to the public.
