    Adani Group Initiates Planting 29 Million Trees, Aiming for 100 Million by 2030

    Chairman Gautam Adani proudly announced that the Adani Group has taken substantial strides towards supporting the World Economic Forum’s ambitious goal of planting a trillion trees by 2030.

    In alignment with this global initiative, the Adani Group has already planted 29 million trees and aims to reach a monumental milestone of planting 100 million trees by the end of this decade.

    Taking to social media, Gautam Adani shared their commitment to enhancing biodiversity, climate resilience, and rural livelihoods through tree planting initiatives.

    He highlighted their specific targets, intending to plant 37 million mangrove trees along India’s coasts and an additional 63 million inland trees.

    The post also emphasized the Adani Group’s efforts with the hashtag #COP28, showcasing their dedication to environmental causes.

    The Adani Group has embarked on multiple green initiatives, showcasing their commitment to sustainability across various sectors.

    In the cement industry, companies under the Adani umbrella, Ambuja and ACC, are leading a sustainable revolution by incorporating waste fly ash and slag into over 90% of their cement production, significantly reducing their environmental footprint.

    Moreover, the Adani Group aims to power 60% of its cement production through renewable energy sources by 2028, positioning themselves as global pioneers in sustainable cement manufacturing.

    Adani Electricity, the group’s power distribution arm, is also on track to provide 60% of Mumbai’s electricity from renewable sources by 2027.

    With over 38% of their current supply being green energy, they recently achieved a milestone during Diwali by powering Mumbai entirely with 100% renewable energy, solidifying their commitment to a sustainable future.

    These initiatives underscore the Adani Group’s dedication to combatting climate change and embracing sustainable practices across their diverse business verticals.
