    Doda, May 27, 2026 [VoM News]:The Jammu and Kashmir Govt has ordered the suspension of two engineers whereas inquiry has been initiated also following the traffic incident on Bhargi-kunan road in block Gandoh, Doda.

    The tragic incident occured during execution of work on a culvert on the road from Bhargi to Kunan in Block Gandoh.

    Regarding this, an order, issued under govt order no. – 184 – PW (R&B) of 2026 appointed Er. Purshotam Kumar Engineer-in-Chief (Secretary Technical) of the Public Works (Roads and Buildings) Department, as the Inquiry Officer. Kumar has been directed to submit his report within 15 days of the issuance of the order.

    Invoking Rule 31 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956, the government suspended Er. Naveen Kumar, serving as In-Charge Assistant Executive Engineer, and Er. Imtiaz Ahmed Shah, Junior Engineer with the PMGSY (Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana) Division, Thathri Sub Division, Gandoh. Both officers will remain attached to the Office of the Chief Engineer, PMGSY Jammu during the period of suspension and will be entitled to suspension allowance as admissible under rules.
