Jammu Kashmir Cricket Association Announces Talent Hunt Trials, Training Camps Across J&K
Jammu, Mar 25: The Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association has unveiled a comprehensive schedule of talent hunt trials and training camps for men and women across the Union Territory, with activities lined up from late March through April 2026.
The programme, outlined in a notification issued on March 24, is aimed at spotting and nurturing cricketing talent across multiple age groups, including junior, sub-junior and under-23 categories.
The schedule is already underway, beginning with Women’s Talent Hunt Trials in Kashmir from March 23 to March 28 at the Sher-i-Kashmir Cricket Stadium. Soon after, attention shifts to Jammu, where fitness and fielding camps for junior and sub-junior boys will run from March 27 to April 2 at the Hostel Ground.
Kashmir will also host parallel sessions, with a similar fitness and fielding camp for boys scheduled from March 30 to April 5 at the Srinagar venue. Meanwhile, Women’s Talent Hunt Trials in Jammu are set to take place from March 31 to April 6.
As April progresses, the focus widens. Jammu will host Talent Hunt Trials for junior and sub-junior boys from April 6 to April 15. Around the same time, a women’s fitness camp is planned in Kashmir from April 8 to April 14, alongside Under-23 men’s trials in Jammu during the same dates.
The final leg of the programme shifts back to Kashmir. Trials for junior and sub-junior boys will be conducted from April 18 to April 27, followed by Under-23 men’s trials from April 23 to April 29, both at the Srinagar stadium.
Officials say the initiative reflects JKCA’s ongoing push to strengthen grassroots cricket and give aspiring players a platform to showcase their abilities.
The schedule has been issued under the authority of Member Administration Brigadier Anil Gupta (Retd).
