
Absconder Arrested in Rajasthan After Three Years on the Run: Doda Police
Doda, March 23, 2026: In a significant breakthrough, Doda Police has apprehended an absconder who had been evading arrest since 2023, officials said on Monday.
The accused, identified as Dharmindar Kumar, a resident of Layrote in Bhalla tehsil of Doda district, was arrested from Jaipur, Rajasthan following a coordinated operation.
Acting on the directions of Sandeep Mehta, a special team from Police Station Bhaderwah was constituted under the leadership of ASI Raj Kumar. The operation was carried out under the supervision of SDPO Bhaderwah and SHO PS Bhaderwah.
Using technical inputs and intelligence gathering, the police team tracked the accused to Sindi Camp in Jaipur and successfully apprehended him after sustained efforts.
Following his arrest, the accused was brought back to Bhaderwah and produced before the local court. The Munsiff/JMIC Bhaderwah granted him bail upon furnishing a surety bond of ₹50,000.
Doda Police reiterated its commitment to cracking down on absconders and ensuring that those evading the law are brought to justice.
Officials stated that similar drives against wanted criminals will continue across the district.
