SRINAGAR: Security forces on Thursday launched a sustained search operation in the Samah area of Akhnoor after a local youth reported seeing a group of suspected individuals during the night, officials said.
According to official sources, a joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Special Operations Group initiated searches after receiving information that three to four suspicious persons were allegedly spotted moving in the area late on Wednesday night. Early Thursday morning, multiple teams were deployed across vulnerable points in the Samah area, with a particular focus on Samah Nallah and adjoining pockets of the Sumah belt.
