Jammu, September 3, 2025: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare, and Education, Sakeena Itoo, chaired a high-level meeting to review the draft framework for the Jammu and Kashmir Private University Policy-2025. The policy aims to enhance higher education opportunities by facilitating the establishment of reputed private universities in the Union Territory.

The meeting, attended by senior officials including the Additional Chief Secretary of the Higher Education Department, focused on creating a policy that ensures academic excellence while maintaining strict regulatory oversight.
