
Samba Police Books A Hardcore Criminal
Samba: Acting tough against criminals, Samba Police booked a hardcore criminal under the Jammu & Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA) and lodged him in District Jail Kupwara.
The hardcore criminal namely Mehboob Akhter S/o Shamas Din R/o Doodla tehsil Basohli district Kathua A/P Bari Brahmana district Samba has been booked under PSA after obtaining formal detention order from the District Magistrate Samba. The booked criminal has been subsequently lodged in District Jail Kupwara.

The said criminal is involved in nineteen (19) cases registered against him at different Police Stations of district Kathua, district Samba, district Reasi and district Jammu viz PS Basohli, PS Lakhanpur, PS Kathua, PS Rajbagh, PS Hiranagar, PS Bari Brahmana, PS Ramgarh, PS Samba, PS Katra and PS Gangyal. The repeated criminal activities of the said hardcore criminal have posed a serious threat to public peace and tranquillity in the district and adjoining areas.
