
Doda Police in Bhaderwah detains 4 vagrants, Sent To Jail
April 19,2025: In a proactive effort to maintain law and order and making drug free society, the Doda Police in Bhaderwah detained four vagrants from identified drug hotspot areas within Bhaderwah town.
These individuals namely Haris Shabir S/O Shabir Ahmed Sheikh, Umaiz S/O Manzoor Ahmed, Azim S/O Manzoor Ahmed all R/O Mohalla Qilla Bhaderwah and Badal Manhas S/O Chandar Mohan R/O Khellani Tehsil Bhalla District Doda were detained Under Section 129 BNSS and subsequently produced before the Executive Magistrate, 1st Class Bhaderwah for further proceedings.
The EMIC Bhaderwah has sent these Vagrants to District Jail Bhaderwah for five days as preventive measure.
The swift action by the Doda Police under the command of SSP Doda Sh Sandeep Mehta and supervision of SDPO Bhaderwah Sh Shoket Ali and SHO PS Bhaderwah Inpr. Suresh Goutam demonstrates their commitment to ensuring public safety and addressing concerns related to vagrancy in the region. By taking this prompt action, the Police aim to discourage drug menace in region and prevent potential disturbances and maintain a secure environment for residents.
The detention and production of these individuals before the Executive Magistrate underscore the effective collaboration between law enforcement agencies and the executive in addressing issues related to public order and safety.
