
Hardcore Criminal Booked By Jammu Police under PSA
Jammu, 19.03.2025: A hardcore criminal has been detained under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) by Police Station Ranbir Singh Pura, Jammu today on 19-03.2025
The hardcore criminal identified as Balwinder Kumar @ Pandey S/O Daya Ram R/O Chakrohi Tehsil Suchetgarh District Jammu has been booked under Public Safety Act for his continuous involvement in criminal activities in an organised manner, thus posing a threat to public peace and order.
The accused did not mend his behaviour in refraining his involvement in criminal activities in spite of being booked in multiple FIR’s that were registered by various Police Stations of Jammu District.
The hardcore criminal was arrested by Police in number of cases but the substantive law was not enough to tame him down and he continued with his criminal activities, thereby posing a serious threat to the public at large. He was involved in such activities which were likely to disturb public order & tranquillity, particularly in R. S Pura area of Jammu District. The subject is involved in the multiple FIR’s registered at various Police Stations.
Keeping in view the activities of aforesaid accused as these amounts to propagating the criminal activities, thus accused was ordered to be detained under Public Safety Act (PSA) by the orders of the District Magistrate Jammu.
Action against notorious, hardcore criminals is among the top priorities of Jammu & Kashmir Police which aims not only to take stringent action as per law of the land against notorious criminals but also preventive steps towards maintenance of peace and order.
The arrest was made by a team of Police Station R.S Pura headed by SHO Police Station R.S Pura under the supervision of SDPO R.S Pura & SP Headquarters Jammu
Jammu police is committed to invoke stringent provisions of law to deal criminals with iron fist and strongest resolve.
The locals of the area have highly appreciated the efforts of the J&K Police in taking tough stand and curbing criminal activities in the area.
