
Heli Service to Gurez in Kashmir Valley; Trial Run Conducted
The Jammu and Kashmir administration plans to establish helicopter services to remote places such as Gurez, Karnah, and Tangdhar to provide access to these snowbound regions.
An official stated that Jet Serve Aviation, a private aviation company, did a trial run for a helicopter service to Gurez Valley today.
The trial run took place in Gurez’s Bagtore district, and helicopter service to Bagtore, Baduaab, Dawar, and Badugaam villages is planned to begin soon. Similar trials would be done in other snow-covered places, including Karnah and Tangdhar, according to the official.

According to the source, the service’s goal is to test the viability of providing aerial connectivity during an emergency.
He added that the helicopter service will primarily provide emergency evacuations for patients, government officials, students, and those in need.
