Civilian Nuclear Programme of Iran Could be Accepted, Strict International Monitoring, Inspection To be Imposed
Washington, June 13, 2026 [VoM News]: Earlier, the Iran’s nuclear programme was considered as the threat to the United States and Israel, but now as per a senior US official in Donald Trump administration has shown willingness to allow Iran to maintain a civilian nuclear energy programme under a proposed nuclear agreement under condition of dismantling the infrastructure enabling the developing the nuclear weapons.
Officials said that the primary objective was to end the nuclear bomb producing capacity of Iran, but strict international monitoring and verification mechanism could be accepted.

The details say that Iran must remove the highly enriched uranium, dismantle the infrastructural capacity for production of nuclear bomb, accepting the long term strict international monitoring and inspections to verify the compliance.
The proposed framework states that Iran would have to provide commitment to refrain from pursuing nuclear weapons.
Whereas, officials inside Trump administration state that safe removal and destruction of enriched nuclear material from Iran and the process would continue for 60 days, if proposal/agreement is formalized.
