Awareness Camp organized in Gai Dessa by Social Welfare Department Doda

On December 4, 2024, the Social Welfare Department, Doda, in collaboration with the Model E-Governance Centre, Block Bhagwah Dessa, successfully organized an awareness camp at Gram Panchayat Gai Dessa, near J&K Bank Gai Dessa.

The program aimed to promote flagship initiatives such as Mission Vatsalya and Sankalp Hub, which are dedicated to the empowerment and holistic development of women and children.

Mission Vatsalya, a centrally sponsored scheme, focuses on providing comprehensive care and protection for children, ensuring their well-being and safeguarding their future.

Sankalp Hub, on the other hand, seeks to empower women through innovative initiatives that foster their social, economic, and digital inclusion. These programs collectively aim to strengthen the foundation for a more inclusive and equitable society.

Officials from the Social Welfare Department Doda, along with Mr. Hiteshwar Thakur, Incharge of the Model E-Governance Centre, briefed the attendees about various welfare schemes and initiatives.

They highlighted the importance of bridging the digital divide and encouraged citizens to utilize the available resources to access government services efficiently.
