Jammu Police Solve Abduction and Murder Case Of Cabe Driver; Gang Apprehended

Jammu, 24.08.2024—Jammu Police have successfully cracked the case of Mangal Singh’s abduction and murder, recovering his body from the Bajalta Morh area in Nagrota. The breakthrough followed the arrest of an interstate gang from Ratia Fatehbad, Haryana.
Singh, a cab driver, was reported missing on August 19, 2024, leading to an FIR on August 21 after CCTV footage indicated his abduction.
Under the leadership of Inspector Parvez Sajad, SHO Nagrota, and Inspector Nishant Gupta, SHO Jhajjar Kotli, and supervised by SP Rural Jammu, Sh. Brijesh Sharma, the police meticulously analyzed CCTV footage, call data, and hotel records.
This investigation led to a critical lead, prompting a raid in Sirsa, Haryana. With local police and counter-intelligence support, authorities apprehended 11 suspects involved in the crime, including residents of Nagal Tehsil-Ratia, District-Fatehbad, Haryana, and one from Punjab. The suspects are:

The gang, after abducting Singh in Katra, murdered him near Bajalta and disposed of his body. The recovery was made in the presence of Singh’s family and local dignitaries. The body was handed over after postmortem for last rites.
This case was resolved within four days under the supervision of SSP Jammu, SP Rural Jammu, and SDPO Nagrota, with updated charges including sections 103 BNS.
