NARBO NGO organizes free medical camp at Malwana Gundna
In a significant stride towards enhancing healthcare accessibility, a free mega medical camp was held at Village Malwana Tehsil Gundna in Medical Block Ghat District Doda as a part of the public outreach programme on 12-10-2023.
The camp was organized by the local NGO National Association For Rural Brotherhood Organization (NARBO) in collaboration with India Army and PHC Gundna under its public outreach programme.
The medical camp was organized with the aim to provide quality medical care and free medicines to the poor and needy people of the area besides to reach out to them at their door steps, ensuring that quality healthcare is within everyone’s reach.
After the inauguration of the camp, the NGO members underscored the paramount importance of such health camps in elevating the overall health & well being of the community.
A team of doctors and paramedical staff including staff from PHC Gundna including Dr Hamid Parray, Dr Hashim Malik, Sh Ram Raj (Sr Phst), Sh Arshad Latief (Lab Tech), Sh Ajaz Hussain (ISM Phst) and Ms Meenakshi Devi (MLHP) rendered their services to more than 200 patients who had come from different areas. Free medicine was also distributed among all the patients by the NGO.
The Chairman of the NGO has appealed to the general public to come forward and take maximum advantage of all such camps organized by them.
Among others, Caption Sunil from 10 RR besides volunteers from NGO Gundna viz Sh Mohd Shafi Lone, Sh G R Malla, Sh Mohd Younis, Sh Sajad Ahmed and Sh Ishfaq Ahmed were present on the occasion.
