DC Doda bats for promotion of Sports culture to steer youth in right direction
DODA, JUNE 28 ,2024 : Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Harvinder today underlined the importance of sports culture to guide youth in right direction.
He was addressing guests after inauguration of new admission facilities for girls and boys at Dronacharya Chenab Sports Academy- a local venture.
In his address, the DC highlighted the importance of sports in fostering physical fitness and team-spirit among youth. DC Doda encouraged parents to enroll their children in sports programs to promote a healthy and active lifestyle.
He praised the Dronacharya Chenab Sports Academy for providing state-of-the-art facilities to young athletes in the region.
The newly inaugurated facilities include a cricket ground, bowling machine, pugs for batting drills, concrete wicket, turf wicket, practice matches, regular fitness sessions, and other games for individuals aged 4 to 20 years.
The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of Principal GDC Attar Singh Kotwal; Tehsildar Subuh Ahmed Shad, besides students and parents from the local community.
