    KISHTWAR: Sheikh Nasir Hussain, Advocate, met with Chief Executive Officer Waqf, Dr. Amir Hussain Zargar, to discuss various important issues concerning the administration and management of Waqf properties and resources.

    During the meeting, they focused on several key areas. They emphasized the need for strategies to ensure greater transparency and accountability in managing Waqf properties. This includes adopting modern technologies and best practices to improve oversight. Proper maintenance and preservation of the “Tabarukaat” of Sufi saints and other Waqf properties were also highlighted.

    The financial aspects of Waqf were a significant part of the discussion. They talked about revenue generation, the creation of income-generating assets, and plans to improve financial efficiency. Sheikh Nasir stressed the importance of engaging the community in Waqf-related activities and decisions to ensure broader participation and support.

    Additionally, Sheikh Nasir requested improvements in the functioning and quality of education at the Islamia Faridia Institute, indicating a need for better resources and management in educational institutions under Waqf.

    CEO Dr. Amir Hussain Zargar expressed a strong commitment to addressing these issues. He assured that steps would be taken to enhance the management and utilization of Waqf properties to better serve the community’s needs. The CEO also emphasized the importance of collaboration with all stakeholders to increase the effectiveness and impact of Waqf initiatives.
