Nitin Gupta Re-appointed as Chairman of CBDT
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has granted approval for the re-appointment of Nitin Gupta as Chairman of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).

His re-appointment will be effective from October 1, 2023, until June 30, 2024, or until further orders, whichever comes first. This decision was made in relaxation of the Recruitment Rules and is subject to the usual terms and conditions applicable to re-employed Central Government officers.
