Five Sri Lankan nationals, including a man, a woman, and three girls, were rescued from Adamambalam sandbank near Mandapam.

They had been stranded for nearly 24 hours after departing from Mannar District, Sri Lanka, in a mystery boat.

Having paid Rs. 13,000 in Sri Lankan currency, the group was left stranded on the sandbar, prompting the Coast Guard Police to intervene and successfully rescue them.
