Doda, January 31: Anticipate a substantial enhancement in power supply as a new transmission line approaches completion in District Doda. The forthcoming commissioning of the 132kV Ramban-Khellani-Kishtwar transmission line, scheduled to be inaugurated by the Honorable Lieutenant Governor, holds the promise of easing the burden on existing infrastructure and elevating overall reliability.

Currently, the district heavily relies on the 132KV Single DHP line from the Udhampur Grid station for its power needs, with the 132/33KV Grid Substation KHELLANI playing a pivotal role. However, the imminent operationalization of the Ramban-Khellani-Kishtwar line will introduce an additional power source, complementing the existing Dul Hasti Transmission line.

The introduction of this new transmission line is set to increase the capacity by 15MVA at the 132KV level, bringing much-needed relief to areas such as Doda and Bhaderwah.
