Uttarakhand DGP Forms Committee to Standardize Annual Confidential Reports (ACR)
Uttarakhand’s Director General of Police, Abhinav Kumar, has established a four-member committee to ensure fairness and transparency in the Annual Confidential Reports (ACR) of personnel up to the rank of Inspector. The committee, led by the Additional Director General of Police, will focus on creating uniform grading standards for constables, chief constables, additional Sub Inspectors, Sub Inspectors, and Inspectors.
Objective of Standardization for Grading System
The primary objective is to introduce uniformity in the grading system of ACRs, ensuring a consistent and impartial assessment of police officials’ character, conduct, capabilities, and performance. The committee includes key members from various police divisions to bring comprehensive insights into the standards.
ACR: A Crucial Document for Career Advancement
Annual Confidential Reports play a pivotal role in evaluating an officer’s performance and contribute essential inputs for their career advancement. The committee, comprising high-ranking officials, will work towards establishing clear standards for the assessment process, enhancing transparency and efficiency in personnel evaluations.
