French President’s Advisor Meets S Jaishankar to Discuss Bilateral Issues
Less than two weeks ahead of French President Emmanuel Macron’s visit to India as the Chief Guest at Republic Day celebrations on January 26, his diplomatic advisor, Emmanuel Bonne, met with Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. The discussions covered various aspects of bilateral ties and global developments of mutual concern. Jaishankar expressed the strong convergence between India and France on multiple issues and extended a welcome for President Macron’s State visit. The meeting aimed to finalize details for Macron’s upcoming trip to India. India and France have been enhancing cooperation across various sectors, including defence, security, clean energy, trade, investment, and technology.
