The US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) has proudly announced its role as a partner organization for the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024, leading a delegation of more than 35 Fortune American companies. These esteemed companies have expressed intentions to bolster their investments in Gujarat, highlighting their commitment to the region’s growth, according to USISPF.
In a released statement, USISPF emphasized its honor in leading a delegation consisting of influential Fortune American companies, including Salesforce, Abbott, Blackstone, HSBC, UPS, Micron, Cisco, SHRM, and others.
The focus areas of this collaborative effort revolve around harnessing India’s surging momentum in the hi-tech manufacturing sector, particularly in semiconductor and chip manufacturing. Additionally, attention is directed towards critical sectors such as energy transition, chemicals, industrial manufacturing, aerospace, and defense. The companies are keenly exploring opportunities to further develop Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), enhancing its economic landscape.
The delegation is under the leadership of Lal Karsanbhai, President and CEO of Emerson, with USISPF President and CEO Mukesh Aghi serving as the co-leader. Mukesh Aghi expressed delight at the prospect of contributing to Gujarat’s development through increased investments, highlighting the state’s strong entrepreneurial culture.
The Vibrant Gujarat Summit, a flagship program of the Government of Gujarat, serves as a prominent investor summit. The upcoming Tenth edition, scheduled from January 10th to 12th, 2024, signifies the western Indian state’s emphasis on fostering socio-economic growth, embodying India’s entrepreneurial ethos.
Recognizing India’s position as the fifth-largest economy and the world’s fastest-growing major economy, investors remain optimistic about the nation’s growth trajectory, especially amidst global challenges and efforts to stabilize supply chains. This collaboration between USISPF and the Vibrant Gujarat Summit aligns with the broader vision of catalyzing mutual economic development and fostering closer ties between India and the United States.
