Ladakh Launches JJM Training for Sustainable Water Management
In Ladakh, a crucial two-day residential training program was launched as part of the National Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) to strengthen rural water resource management strategies. The initiative aims to enhance expertise and share experiences in the field, promising a more sustainable future for water access and conservation in Ladakh under JJM.
During the media address, Executive Councillor Er Kacho Feroz Khan emphasized the importance of such initiatives in supporting the effective implementation of the JJM Scheme in the region. Despite the challenging terrain and geographical complexities, Mr. Khan commended the unwavering efforts of the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department engineers in successfully executing the scheme on the ground. This implementation has led to significant benefits for a considerable portion of the district’s population, he added.
Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Shrikant Balasahab Suse, expressed gratitude and appreciation to the All India Institute of Local Self-Government (AIILSG) for choosing to conduct the training program amid the demanding winter conditions. The commitment of the participants reflects a collective dedication to advancing rural water resource management practices in Ladakh.
