J-K Police Chief Allocates Rs 1.6 Cr for Personnel Welfare
Director General of Jammu and Kashmir Police, RR Swain, has approved a substantial amount of Rs 1.60 crore for welfare loans, relief, and financial assistance benefiting 122 personnel.
In addition to this, an extra allocation of Rs 3 lakh has been sanctioned for individuals whose homes were affected by natural calamities. Welfare loans ranging from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1,50,000 each have been given the green light for 103 police personnel, earmarked for self-marriage or the marriage of their children.
Furthermore, fourteen police personnel have received Rs 1,50,000 each to cover educational expenses for their children, while three others have been granted Rs 50,000 each for yagnopavit/circumcision purposes. These financial aids have been allocated from the Central Police Welfare Fund, according to an official statement.
The statement goes on to mention that the Director General of Police (DGP) has also approved a welfare loan of Rs 3 lakh and welfare relief of Rs 50,000 for a police official facing medical expenses for his ailing daughter. Additionally, Rs 1 lakh each has been granted to three police personnel whose residences suffered damage in a land sinking incident on February 2nd and 3rd, this year, at Nai Basti, Thatri, District Doda.
