Doda: Sept 18: – The Chotta Manimahesh Yatra starts on 20th Sept 2023 this year. That traditional/religious festival is celebrated every year. This place is located at the district border of Doda/Udhampur J&K). The Dal Yattra is also known by the name of “CHOTTA MANIMAHESH ”. It is located about 50-60 kilometers away from District headquarter Doda Tehsil Marmat Panchayat upper Behota. That said yatra by foot base camp of Village Behota about 15-16 kilometer away CHOTTA MANIMAHESH. . In this year “Yatra Chota Manimesh” Ram Rachna is commencing on 20th Sept. 2023. to 23rd Sept, 2023. All the devotees of different part of J&K state are informed that the Nowalla (Jag-Ratta) is performing on 20th of September 2023 at Mool whereas Mathi Ratrii Jagran Bhajan Sandhia is organizing on the same night at Behota base camp.
While Chairman Suresh Sharma said that the Langer / basic facility where provided by the different Langer committees at every stop in during the Yatra pilgrims of chotta manimashesh

All the yatries are advised that the yatra control committee (Trust of Chotta Manimahesh (Ram Rachna) has completely banned consumption of any kind of liquor or lottery playing card etc.
Lekh Raj Gen Secretary said, the history of the place also touches the Ramyana times & Lord Shiva. This place is also known as Ram Rachna the story of one of the rocks at the Chotta Manimahesh has the , statue of Ram, Sita Hanuman, Lasksham & Murti, footprint inside the place of Ram Rachna There is small mountain said to have been used by the Ram, Sita, Lakshman, during Vanvass time of Fourteen year. In the east side large/huge mountain Lord Shiva/Mata Rani people also worshiped mountain east side. One of the water ponds inside of Shiva Murti, description of the mark of many lords on the stones. These stones also look like statues of God & Goddesses.
There is also the natural beauty of large polo, Kail, trees, Deodars, Walnuts, and so many inhabitants of Gujjar Bakerwal, local people of the Marmat area & Lati Dhun Udhampur , Sudh Mahadev. The Chotta Manimahesh is one of the famous historical places at Marmat/Udhampur Border. The whole sight is so attractive that visitors desire to go on seeing it again and again.
The Trust of Chotta Manimahesh Yattra member Bir Singh told that In addition to the main festivals of “Chotta Manimahesh ” (Ram Rachna) the thousand pilgrims visit the sacred place throughout the year. This occasion the pilgrims from various parts of District Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Udhampur, Jammu & other parts of J&K participate in the annual function/festival.
