YSCC Doda extends warm welcome to new Deputy Commissioner Doda, Host introductory cum get together programme
DODA, Nov 19: Doda’s Prominent, Social and Sports Club, the Young Star Cricket Club (Regd NGO) on Saturday organized an impressive get together programme to welcome newly joined Deputy Commissioner Doda Sh Harvinder Singh (IAS) at Shivalik Guest House Doda.
The programme was attended by the personalities from different field of the society which includes Principal GMC Doda Dr Puja Vimesh, DIO Doda Mohd Ashraf Wani, AD Employment Doda Mohd Idrees Lone, BDO Aamir Ashraf, CPDO Bhagwah Sh Kishore Singh besides Patron YSCC Doda Manzoor Ahmed, Batt Chairman YSCC Doda Naseer Khora & Advisor Prof Zaheer Hashmi, whereas the programme was also attended by members of BAR Doda, Doda Civil Society, Chamber of Commerce & Industry Doda, NGOs, Prominent Citizens and notable Media Persons of Doda.
Earlier while welcoming the Deputy Commissioner Doda, YSCC members presented him with a Memento & Shawl as a token of love & good will gesture and expressed immense pleasure, hoped that with his posting, the District Doda will witness new era of development in all aspects and would actively address the genuine grievances of the general public.
Sh Naseer Khora, the Chairman YSCC in his welcome address underlined the past activities of YSCC Doda in promoting social and sports activities in the region, adding that YSCC Doda has set a platform for the youth of this region to show cause their talent at different forums.
The speakers on the occasion highlighted the various genuine issues like traffic congestion in Doda Town, illegal parking, frequent road accidents, drugs among youth, promotion of sports activities, provision of link roads to avoid traffic congestion, youth oriented programmes etc before the chair and said that being the son of soil of J&K and having good past experience at different administrative capacities, the new DC Doda will help District Doda to enter into a new era of success and prosperity, by prioritizing the aspirations of the people of the District.
Sr Advisor YSCC Doda Prof Zaheer Hashmi, Shoket Ali Mughal, Ab Qayoom Zargar (Prominent Citizens), Adv Chuni Lal Thakur, President Low Paid Employees Federation Niaz Ahmed Rahi were among the speakers who spoke on the occasion, besides Sh Faizan A Tramboo carried out the proceedings of the programme on stage.
Meanwhile, the YSCC members on the occasion also welcome and felicitated Principal GMC Doda Dr Puja Vimesh for her outstanding and dedicated services in running the premier health institute of Doda’s chenab region.
While speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner Doda graciously thanked the YSCC Doda for organizing a grand welcome party in his honor and assured them that he would work diligently to meet the expectations and aspirations of the people of Doda and pledged his dedication to uplift the region and to bring about positive changes during his tenure in the District.
