The second phase of Chhattisgarh’s assembly elections commenced on Friday, signaling a high-stakes political showdown for seventy constituencies. The fierce contest between the incumbent Congress and the opposition BJP has become the focal point of this electoral battle.

In the run-up to this crucial phase, both parties engaged in extensive campaigning. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel led the charge for their respective parties. The state has set up over 18,000 polling stations, including 727 ‘Sangwari’ booths staffed by women.
