Zimbabwe Captain Sikandar Raza Suspended for Breach of ICC Code of Conduct

Zimbabwe captain Sikandar Raza has been fined 50% of his match fee and received two demerit points, leading to a suspension for the remaining two matches in the ongoing series against Ireland. This follows his breach of the ICC Code of Conduct during the first T20I match, where aggressive actions towards Ireland players Curtis Campher and Josh Little led to the charge.

Ireland Players Curtis Campher and Josh Little Fined

Ireland players Curtis Campher and Josh Little have been fined 15% of their respective match fees and received one demerit point each for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct. The charges stem from conduct contrary to the spirit of the game during the same T20I match.

    Incident Details and Sanctions

Raza’s charge involved aggressively charging towards Campher and Little while pointing his bat and breaking away from the umpire who tried to intervene. Campher charged towards Raza, sidestepping one of the on-field umpires, and Little made physical contact with Raza after a complaint about blocking his path during a run attempt. Raza’s suspension results from accumulating four demerit points within a 24-month period.
