World Health Day 2025 Celebrated at GMC Doda

The Department of Community Medicine, GMC Doda, celebrated World Health Day 2025 with great enthusiasm and academic spirit under the guidance of Dr. Suresh Kotwal, Head of the Department of Community Medicine, and the valuable leadership of the Principal, Dr. Rakesh Bahl.

This year’s theme, “Healthy Beginnings,Hopeful Futures”, underscores the fundamental right of every individual to access quality healthcare, education, and a healthy living environment.

To mark the occasion, an Undergraduate Quiz Competition was organized under the aegis of the Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine (IAPSM). The event aimed to raise awareness among medical students and promote academic engagement on key public health issues.

The quiz competition was successfully conducted by Dr. Imran Zaffer, Senior Resident in the Department of Community Medicine, and Dr. Gurjinder, Senior Resident in the Department of Biochemistry. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from undergraduate students who showcased their knowledge and critical thinking.

Following the event, Dr. Rakesh Bahl addressed the gathering and delivered a thought-provoking talk on the significance of World Health Day and emphasized the importance of such academic activities in shaping the minds of future healthcare professionals.

The Department of Community Medicine extends its heartfelt thanks to all participants, faculty, and organizing team members for their contributions toward making the event a success.
