VPNs Banned in Kishtwar, DM Issues Prohibition Order

Kishtwar, September 04, 2026 [VoM News]: The Kishtwar administration has imposed the ban on the usage of Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) in Kishtwar.

The prohibitionary order under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023,
has been issued by the District Magistrate, Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS) within Jurisdiction of district Kishtwar.

As anti-social elements through the application of Virtual Private Networks, amounts to create the law and order situation, and hurdles, the administration tackles it by banning these, and voilations are dealt with irons hands.
