Union Sports Ministry Warns Suspended WFI President Over Unsubstantiated Claims
The Union Sports Ministry has issued a stern warning to the suspended Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president, Sanjay Singh, cautioning against unsubstantiated claims regarding the recognition of the body and the organization of competitions.
The ministry emphasized that any tournaments held by the suspended WFI body would be considered “unsanctioned and unrecognized competitions,” causing confusion and anxiety among athletes.
The letter urged the suspended body to refrain from making baseless claims, warning of potential legal action if such actions persist.
