Town Hall Doda Hosts Festive Celebration for 8th National Ayurveda Day
Doda, November 10: In a collaborative effort between the District Ayush Office and the District Administration in Doda, the 8th National Ayurveda Day, also known as Dhanwantri Jayanti, was joyously commemorated at Town Hall. The event brought together a diverse audience of Ayurveda practitioners, experts, and enthusiasts united in their commitment to promote the ancient Indian healing system.
The inauguration of the program and the initiation of a free Ayurvedic Medical Camp were conducted by DC Doda Harvinder Singh and SSP Doda Abdul Qayoom. The festivities commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony, followed by enlightening sessions on the various benefits of Ayurveda. The event also featured yoga and meditation sessions, emphasizing the significance of a balanced lifestyle for overall well-being. Esteemed Ayurveda practitioners and scholars graced the occasion, sharing their profound insights on the holistic approach to health and wellness.
Review of JJM Implementation in Doda District by DDC
Under the theme “Ayurveda for One Health,” this year’s National Ayurveda Day aimed to heighten awareness about Ayurveda’s pivotal role in preventing and managing a healthier lifestyle, addressing the escalating health concerns in India.
DDC Doda, speaking at the event, underscored the integral role of yoga in daily life and advocated for the cultivation and utilization of local medicinal plants in routine requirements. He confidently affirmed that Ayurveda would play a pivotal role in the healthcare system in the times ahead, with Doda positioned as a hub for Ayurvedic medicine. The upcoming National level High Altitude Medicinal Plant in Bhaderwah will further solidify this role, added the DC. Attendees enjoyed complimentary consultations and demonstrations of Ayurvedic treatments, with herbal medicine stalls set up at Town Hall for public awareness.
The 8th National Ayurveda Day celebration at Town Hall Doda emerged as a resounding success, shedding light on the timeless wisdom of Ayurveda and its relevance in today’s modern world. It served as a poignant reminder of the significance of embracing traditional healing practices for a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.Among the participants were CEO Doda Parshotam Goria, District Ayush Officer Dr. Ajay Tikoo, retired officers and officials of the department, PRIs, local residents, and officials of the District Ayush Department in Doda.
