Indonesia Volcano Eruption: Eight Airports Shut as Anak Krakatau Ash Disrupts Flights

Jakarta, September 07, 2026 [VoM News]: The volcanic ash from Mount Anak Krakatau has caused the severe disruption and affected the normal life as eight indonesian airports are closed, as per details available with VoM News.

Since, late Friday, the volcano is erupting continuously between Java and Sumatra, now sending ash across Jakarta and nearby regions.

Around 170,000 people have been affected by flight cancellations, Indonesia’s Transport Minister Dudy Purwagandhi stated.

As per reliable reports, the authorities have closed the airports as a precautionary measure.
