DODA, JANUARY 20: Taking proactive steps towards public safety, a significant awareness event seamlessly integrating National Road Safety Month with the Nasha Mukht campaign unfolded today at Bus Stand Thathri.
Under the vigilant supervision of Deputy Commissioner DODA, Harvinder Singh, and with the guidance of ARTO Doda, Rajesh Gupta, the event aimed to foster awareness about both road safety and the hazards of substance abuse.
The primary focus of the program was to enlighten the public, particularly drivers, on crucial aspects of road safety. The emphasis was on the importance of adhering to traffic rules, wearing helmets, and refraining from driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Inspector MVD Doda, Robin Parihar, took the lead in communicating the goals of the ongoing National Road Safety Month, urging individuals to actively participate in the Nasha Mukht campaign to combat the drug menace. Local officials, including police officers and government representatives, actively engaged in the program to underscore the significance of adhering to road safety measures. They highlighted the need for collective efforts to reduce road accidents and prevent incidents related to substance abuse within the community. The event served not only as an educational platform but also as a means to foster a sense of collective responsibility in creating safer roads and curbing substance abuse.
The collaborative efforts of government officials, law enforcement, and the community demonstrate a dedication to creating safer roadways and combating substance abuse. Initiatives such as the National Road Safety Month and Nasha Mukht Awareness program aim to instigate lasting behavioral changes that contribute to a safer and healthier community.
