During a historic meeting on the sidelines of the World Governments Summit, Prime Minister Modi and Madagascar President Andry Rajoelina reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the India-Madagascar partnership. Recognizing the longstanding friendly relations and ancient ties, both leaders explored ways to advance bilateral cooperation, emphasizing close collaboration in various multilateral fora, including the UN.

Vision SAGAR: PM Modi’s Pledge for Security and Growth in the Region

In the backdrop of the World Governments Summit, Prime Minister Modi reiterated India’s commitment to the Vision SAGAR initiative – Security and Growth for All in the Region. He emphasized India’s role as a committed partner in the developmental journey of Madagascar, highlighting the shared status as fellow developing countries in the Indian Ocean Region.

In addition to multiple bilateral agreements signed with the UAE and a vibrant ‘Ahlan Modi’ event, PM Modi is set to inaugurate the largest Hindu stone temple in Abu Dhabi. As he concludes his engagements in the Gulf region, his journey continues to Doha, where he will meet the leadership in Qatar as part of this two-day visit.
