In a significant move to review and strengthen security in Doda, SSP Doda, Shri Mohd Aslam, IPS, chaired a crucial Security and Monitoring Advisory Committee (SMAC) meeting on October 24, 2024. Held at the District Police Office (DPO), the meeting brought together key officers from the Army, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), District Police, and various intelligence agencies operating in the district.
During the meeting, a comprehensive assessment of the district’s current security scenario was undertaken. The officers present shared their observations, suggestions, and assessments, leading to in-depth discussions on the overall security situation. The attendees exchanged valuable insights on how to improve security measures, ensuring a safer environment for the region’s residents.
A major focus of the meeting was the development of strategies for effective monitoring and surveillance on the ground. Officers were urged to remain vigilant, maintain tight surveillance over anti-social elements, and be prepared to handle any potential disruptions to the district’s peace.
SSP Mohd Aslam stressed the importance of being proactive in identifying and neutralizing threats, particularly from rumor mongers and other disruptive elements.
The meeting concluded with all the security and intelligence agencies reaffirming their commitment to working in a coordinated and synergized manner. By sharing information and maintaining close cooperation, they aim to ensure the district remains peaceful and secure, ready to tackle any challenges that may arise.
